Should I wear this on my back?

In two hours, I will ride my current commute for the last time. I've had the job for a little over 5 years, and total cycling commuting mileage on this route should be over 40,000 miles. I am thinking about putting "LAST DAY" on the back of my jacket to let motorists know.

I want to do this partly because I see this as a major milestone. I love my commute, it's made me a better rider, and I consider it an accomplishment. I know that the vast majority of people couldn't care less, but I know that there are people who look out for me. After returning from vacation, I've had total strangers come up to me in town and express concerns that they hadn't seen me on the roads for a bit and were afraid that I'd been hit.

So what do people think about the message? Too egoistical? Who cares?

Oh yeah, don't feel sorry for me. The commute to my new job is even better. 25 mi each way on pretty decent roads and I'll be damned if I drive. Because I may be able to telecommute 2 days a week, total mileage to/from the new job will probably be less than what I currently do, but it will still be a good ride. And, I even have a riding partner who's been riding the route about as long as I've had my current job.
