I needed to go cheaper too cause i just found out i cant remove my large ch ring. they are like pressed together. kinda weird so im going to have to get a new crankset too. on that note, anyone know if the old peugeots have the normal euro threaded bb used today or the other kind. Peugeots are kind of a pain. If you want cheap and easy just leave the big ring on and grind off the teeth for a nice bash ring/chain guard. You can put modern cranks on, but you'll have to find a square taper spindle in the correct length, plus gettting the cotter out of those cranks can be a PITA.
