Thanks, all! My understanding of NY law is the car-service company's No Fault insurance will be responsible for paying for my treatment. Trick is, the car-service people are refusing to GIVE me that information - the driver wasn't carrying a card, and they've been dodging me ever since... A co-worker has suggested getting the NYC Taxi and Limo Commission involved, since they license car service companies... we'll see how that pans out! Worst-case scenario, my personal health insurance will cover it, but since there's a maximum per year they'll cover and I expect to be getting a surgery this year, I REALLY want to avoid that if I can...
