I've spoken again to the driver - I can't tell for sure, but I think he's legitimately interested in taking care of me... he's got a serious case of the flu, which he's using as an excuse for why it's been a few days since I heard from him. It also looks like the T&LC may be able to help me get his insurance information; they've indicated that they will provide me with his records if I make a written request by fax, which I'm going to do in the morning.
