Actually, the temp of cure depends on the polymer used. I was typing faster than I was thinking with the F vs. C, but I have measured very high surface temperatures inside of vehicles, ~80-90C. What matrix material were you quoting for the 280? I assume an epoxy-base?

And UV light does degrade the polymers, again, depending on the polymer used. It really isn't a problem in practice, especially when protected from UV by glass, but I still wouldn't want my CF bike outside ten hours a day.

I was trying to make the OP unconcerned. Apparently that didn't come across.
