Hey, thanks for all the tips everyone! I did end up with a road bike, which is cool because it's going to take some getting used to. I got it from Re-Cycles; they rebuild bikes, so I think it's a piecemeal, but it's got a late-80's Fisher road (racing?!?) frame that is featherlight. It was cheap and it will do me good as a starter.
