I went. I had a gas, but I didn't race.
Maybe that's why I had so much fun. The event has grown considerably since I did the announcing at the first one.
I went on Friday to hang out with the VRC (Vintage, Retro, Classic) gang who meet every year to show off their old bikes. Weather was perfect, and I was home by the time it started raining Saturday morning.
Rather than post a lot of pics, I'll just post the link to the
Sea Otter VRC thread on mtbr.com.
Just for amusement purposes, here is a photo of the huck ramp. It was 10 meters high, with three piles of dirt for landing ramps. The end of the launch ramp was easily fifteen vertical feet above the landing.
In front of the huck ramp you can see the wooden trials ramps, some 10-12 feet above the ground. It would hurt a lot to fall off.
