I've been pretty happy with my Adistar Comps from Adidas. But then again, I don't really know any better, since these are my first pair of Road shoes - I always used SPDs before now (and still do on some other bikes)

I like that they look a little old school. They've held up well and are just starting their 2nd season. I don't know if I believe the regular price of $174.99, but they seem worth $70 to me.

And they'll work with your pedals - the link mentions they're only compatible with Look ®-style pedal systems. Shimano SPD-SLs would fall into that category.
