I rarely come accross a situation where I cant find a mac program to do a task, in fact.. ive never been stumped yet.. and that is using them at home and in the office.. (accounting software, industry specific software etc.)
1. I have used and continue to use both, personally, I don't think there is much of a difference.
2. Pro-E, Solidworks, Alias and Rhino do not run on Macs. Those 4 programs probably hold about a 95% market share for new product development. Cobalt (the most popular NPD program for Macs) is absolutely worthless, you cannot develop a new product with it. All of Apple's products were developed on PCs (I love the irony). If you eliminate PCs, you will stop hundreds of billions of dollars of the GDP, they are irreplaceable.
