I've heard lots of stories of people who were quite obviously saved (either their life, or at least paralysis) by their helmet. I have never heard any stories of people who were killed/paralyzed/etc because of a helmet.

Therefore I will continue to wear mine. Plus it makes me look all aero and racey.

Whether anyone else wears one or not is their choice (for now at least).
