Ah ha ha! Too late. What kills people is vehicles hitting or crushing people. While you can't definitively draw conclusions from a single incident, the case control literature is pretty convincing. Except to guys like Curnow and his libertarians. I agree that safe roads are the critical issue and emphasis on helmets detracts (maybe) from movement in improving safety overall, but saying that helmets don't have a positive impact on safety in an individual crash doesn't convince me. People mix levels of benefit too often when they look at these things.
