Mac & Shimano

I love how this debate always gets people fired up.

Let me speak about a couple of things in favor of the Mac.

One, I am the IT manager for my (small) company, so I deal with Windows all day long. I go home to a Mac, because as someone who works with PCs constantly, I want something that works, and works well (i.e. NOT a PC).

Two, if you look at the way most people view their PCs, they think of them like an appliance, like a dishwasher or a stove or what have you. Most Mac owners, I've found, view their Macs a little bit more like a fun toy AND an appliance. I'm not sure how to put it into words, exactly, but most Mac people actually LIKE their computers more than most users like their PCs.

Three, I just helped one of our employees set up her Macbook. We took it out of the box, I downloaded all the updates, and she started using Photo Booth with the built in camera (the Mac people will know what I'm talking about). She was laughing and having a lot of fun, as were several of our coworkers. When's the last time that you've seen a bunch of people crowded around a PC laughing and having a good time with software that shipped on the machine?
