How about an old KHS Montana Comp (or Pro). Might be hard to find now (talking about early 90s vintage) and you will probably have to run a tensioner but I did a ton of racing on mine when I was in HS. Was a really nice, well priced bike...pre disc and at the dawn of suspension so most had rigid forks.
