I'm 48, 5'11", 205#, and at my peak would probably never really make it past Cat 5 so I decided to become a n00b official. That way I can get paid for any race I go to. I've hopefully had the worst bike wreck (not vehicle related) of anyone on here when I was 14 and on my first 10 speed. Broken jaw, nose, cheekbone, hospitalized 9 days, wired shut for 11 weeks, had to go back in to have a tear duct drilled out, and also resulting in 5 root canals & I now have 9 false teeth. All that and I still ride and get a thrill from bombing down hills at 45+ mph, but I'm easy to pass on the way back up.
