from my lbs. unfortunately they charged me shipping for the pedals, a hefty 20 bucks cdn. or something like that, when the pedals were shipped to the distributor under warranty... they charged the lbs and thus passed on the cost to me. then they charged me for new cables and housing - about 14 dollars. thing is, they never notified me about these extra incurred costs... 38 bucks total. i don't believe these are normal business practices... should i do anything about that?
at least the pedals come with the better threaded studs. much more grip. i hope they improved the bearings and seals though... so i don't have to go through mashed bearings again.
anyhow, i grabbed my new fast trak pro's, which said they were 2.2" wide, as opposed to my current adrenalines, spec'd at 2.00" but were measured by mbaction as 2.16". turns out my new fast traks are smaller. noticeably. getting my tires on my rockhopper was no problem at all - i used my bare hands, no levers involved. however, when i moved my adrenalines to my older bike, the rims on my fusion (which has bald high rollers), were a complete ***** to deal with, meaning that i had to use tire levers everywhere. at first when i was removing the rollers, i thought it was the tire's fault - 1) it's a wire bead and 2) it's really small compared to my usual tires that are all from specialized and 3) it's the first time i've seen a tube that's been basically glued to the inside of the tire, making it hard to remove. no biggie though, i got that off my alexrims dp17's and proceeded to mount my adrenalines. lo and behold, it took me half an hour to get them on. i was tired. it was hard. i had to use levers.
anyway, i'm going to take more pron/action shots tomorrow, with my new digicam

and here's a quick shot for now:
and oh yeah, i'm going to take off that useless alligator squeaker - it doesn't even squeak anymore
