Giant is either largest or second largest Manufacture. Trek is also in the top 3 so I highly doubt they make Treks as they are a major competitor as with Specialized.
Thats kind of what I thought at the time, I just kind of let it go, interestingly enough the shop sold both trek and giant (I think cdale as well) so it wasn't like he was trying to make a sale
