reasons ive put my bike on a bus or might consider it :

1) Some part broke and I need to take the bike somewhre
2) Some part of ME got broke or sick and I need to take the bike somewhere.
3) Im traveling with someone part of the way, that does not have a bike.
4) I am traveling a very very far distance that is faster by bus, but want the bike at the end or beginning (rare occasion).
5) It gets dark, and I forgot my lights, and im an area I do not feel safe biking unlit. (hasnt happened yet)
6) Inebriated on alcohol or medication.
7) Weather turns bad, and I find myself without proper riding gear for it. (has never actually happened).

really there are probably dozens and dozens of legit reasons, no need to judge people until ya know =p


That being said, I no longer trust the bike racks on the busses in Chicago, so it really takes a lot for me to put my bike on there now.
