The other day someone was driving a motorcycle on the bike path where I live.

But when it comes to pedestrians, you just have to accept it. They like having a nice place to walk and jog just like you like having a nice place to ride. It's a losing battle you won't win. Just accept it and either ride when the path is empty, ride slowly amongst them, or ride in the street.
