1950 to 1974 wasn't a bad run for a shakey old plane.

Our C-124B (not in photo) was an airborn/mobile comm center......plenty of room for Large comm equip of the early 60s and to haul our K-55 comm vans with us. Extremely slow.....we would lift our feet to keep them from getting wet when taking off on MacDill runway.

It ate magnetos like candy....very noisy.....but got us there and.....more importantly....back. They were unique....
