I haven't heard of those, no. I'm looking for the perfect pedal to use with sneakers, clips and straps, and this is the next step on my search. The old Richards Bicycle Book, when it was more of a reference, and less of a coffee table picture book, called those platform pedals, and I've wanted some ever since my feet got wide enough that the quills on quill pedals hurt the edge of my foot. I've got the wierd triangular Shimano 600 pedals, and they're good, but the ridge for the cleat is very pronounced. I've got a pair of track pedals, and they're good, but not really wide enough. I'm hoping that these touring pedals will be the panacea.
