If you are creating a program that formulates workouts it needs a lot of latitude for customization. I dislike the "one size fits all" approach many of the current programs offer. If you cross train it's almost impossible to stay on the programs.
I used the Athletes Diary for years. It was pretty good but limited customization. It's still my favorite of the training diary software though I now use an excel spreadsheet for my daily logs.
Thanks for your feedback JustSayMo
It is a Multi sport and multi Event system. It can be customised extensively, because if there is not a field on a form you wish to use, you can simply add it. There is also a Chart and Report wizard to create your own. The Food form shows Calories,Protein,Fat,Carb and estimated percentage of calories from each. It Will calculate your basal Metabolic rate, and calories burnt during activities to give your calorie deficit(or not) for the day.
The exercises in aworkout are arranged in a grid and you can insert The Duration, Sets,Reps,Amount and INtensity level for each. (It will calculate power or HR levels for each intensity based on your diary data and the Trainining Intensity model you have set up)
The system will not create a training plan for you, that is up to you or you coach to do. I can't see how software could do this reliably, and it could also have legal repurcutions if it told an overweight 60 year old to go for a ten mile run.
There are already charts for Daily Pulse, Weight, Weekly Milage, Weekly hours exercise,Completion of planned exercises.
If any body can let me know what other report or charts they would like to see I would be grateful.
