Yeah - my thoughts as well.

But what it would finally come down to for me is that I would put the modern mixed-group on the frame I was planning to ride the most. And then upgrade it to full 10sp when time/finances allowed. I just rode 25 miles this weekend on a Campy 10sp equipped bike for the very first time. Very nice, indeed.......

So, I'd pick the best frame from the two, and wring out its' top performance potential with a more modern drivetrain. You have to decide which is the "best" frame.......

BTW ,if you're looking for a decent set of inexpensive wheels with a Campy 9/10sp rear hub body, PM me. I have a set left over from my build that I won't be needing.
