I've heard really great things about Summit, but in San Carlos (or wherever Velo Girls go to ... used to date a Velo Girl). I've always been happy with Bicycle Outfitters.

One thing that pissed me off about Chain Reaction in Los Altos was that they would not service a bike unless you bought it from them. So guess what ... I don't do business with them.

I bought my Seven from Palo Alto Bicycles, and they can be a bit snobby sometimes, but usually, they will pay attention to you.

I don't know what part of San Jose you are in, but have you tried Willow Glen Bicycles?
