1980 Dawes Super Galaxy (upgrade?)

Hi everyone Im new here...
I have just gotten back into riding after about 20 years off.
My black 1980 Dawes Super Galaxy has less than 10k miles on it. I bought it new and its still original and in good shape.
Im using it for day touring/exercise now.

It has now
531 triangle
Small Dawes oval logo on head tube
no braze on's for bottles, pumps, shifters etc.
the rear hub spacing measures 127mm? (130?)
Suntour derailuers
Suntour friction type shifter on down tube
27" 1 1/4 Weinman rims,
Normandy front hub
Mallard rear hub,
Suntour 13-24 5spd freewheel
TA Speicialites 52/48/36 crank
Weinman center pull brakes

Im considering upgrading the wheels, crank and drive to 700c since the chain is stretched, the hubs are not smooth even after a regreasing, spokes are getting worn/loose/corroded and there are limited 27" tires available.

What would everyone recomend for:
Bottom bracket?
Crank/model/teeth?
rims/hubs?
cassette?
brakes?
deraileurs?

Thanks in advance
