Or... you could have issues with the way you pedal -- Times have a much broader float range (something like 15 degrees) versus the SPDs. If you have sloppy pedaling technique, then you can "accidentally unclip."

I've been riding SPDs exclusively (brakeless) for about 3 years, and have ridden them offroad for about 7 years prior and have had one unclipping incident when my pedal hit a rock when I was riding mountain.

SPDs are a high-quality system.
