No, I think this bike will serve you better than a Walmart bike. I just think you could find something like this for $100 with some time. But, honestly, if you want/need something right away - you could do a whole lot worse. Check that the wheels are fairly round and true. Then offer the guy $150. Say your budget still needs to allow for a helmet and some other gear. Good Luck.
