Exactly!
I have two pubs that I can walk to (both less than 300 feet from my house) and another pub that offers free rides home. These are my 3 favorite places to drink, especially since my mother in law is the barmaid at one of them

Are you suggesting that I am addicted? I quit for 2 years about 5 years ago for no other reason than to prove to myself that I could. I also quit for 6 months while me and my wife were trying to concieve a child.
As far as being a senseless waste of money. I figure I can do what I want with my money. I earn it, and I DO earn a good living. I have no bills other than utilities, my house was paid off three years after I got it, I have no credit cards, no Best Buy account from financing a big flat screen TV, none of the stuff people nowadays need that I consider pointless.
But hey, I can see where you are coming from. I think people who spend ungodly ammounts of money just so that they can sit inside their house and let the cable TV wash over them are wasting money.
Personally, I perfer to wate my cash on things that allow me to go out and meet people, instead of sit and watch people pretend to be people.
