I was a little different.. I rode my friend's around his neighborhood for a couple hours as we were running around with tall bikes and the likes, and I was very nervous, but very excited. I had a death-grip on the (narrow as hell) handlebars the whole time, such that the next morning my arms ached severely.

Once I built mine up, it took me maybe 20 seconds to learn to skid (44-19 gear ratio and clipless pedals on a dirt road helped), and about 30 minutes or so to be able to ride comfortably. Put it all together, you get 2:30:20.

Several weeks later, I started trying to trackstand, and that took me an evening and a morning. Once winter passed, I tried backwards circles, and that's taken me a good 10 hours so far to be able to do maybe one out of every five if I try hard.. I'd probably be better on flatter surfaces.

Maybe this helps? Really, get the Rush Hour.. I'm assuming it's an 06, or they probably wouldn't be selling it to you at that price. And the 06's look sexy as hell once you (easily) remove the decals. Really.. do it!
