I've had pretty good luck with Vittoria Rallys. I've had them on two of the bikes I'd ridden the most for the past two years. No flats, no problems. I'm not sure how big a problem goatheads are in Colorado Springs. I know I had lots of problems with flats last year on vacation in Pagosa Springs and Sedona. If I lived where I had to contend with those miserable weeds, I'd probably give up cycling. That, or go with the super heavy-duty tires. Tubulars wouldn't stand a chance against those evil things.
