As for the Ebay thing, I'd recommend searching "for completed items only" before bidding or buying. A size large 2003 used OCR2 just sold for $536, after 17 bids, and that was before packing and shipping costs. Obviously buying locally, new, with no shipping costs for $550 is a far superior deal.

I've bought a lot of things from Ebay, but it amazes me how many "bad deals" there are, where buying new or local just seems to make more sense. You can always find amazing things for "$51.00," that that doesn't mean much when the bidding gets wild in the closing minutes.
