Top Tube Slope?

I just had a Seven ID8 designed. My ideal frame design, from their "magical" computer program, gave me 10 degrees of top tube slope. My "traditional" road bike friends say I should have them reduce to 8 or even 6 degrees of slope. Seven can do this but they will need to re-engineer the frame to accomodate the decrease slope. This will add more weight to my frame and could possibly alter the performance. My frame designer thinks I would be crazy to do this but says it's my bike he will do what I want.

My feeling is, I'm paying them for their "special" system of determining the best frame, I shouldn't alter that. And, more importantly, I shouldn't sacrifice weight/performance simply for the sake of a more "traditional look". I actually think I like the more aggressive modern look with more top slope anyway.

Could you guys give me your opinions********** Thanks!
