I live in Brooklyn right by the Commodore John Barry Park checkpoint, so I can just stop home to raid the fridge!

Don't forget c-town; this ride goes through NYC, home of food at every street corner. You can always stop at a deli, grab a sandwich and keep plugging - as long as you're not on the FDR or BQE of course
