I've had 'em for a year. I ride about 10,000 miles per year (on track for a little more this year) and in a city so I'm constantly clipping in and out. Also, I race with them.

1) I'm on my second pair of cleats, and they will probably last until mid-summer, but I use cleat covers religiously because they are slippery.
2) The painted logos will last about a week before rubbing off.
3) The pedal body is just starting to wear out a bit by the plastic clip above the spring mechanism and the Teflon pad.

Bottom line, they're durable and will be fine for rec riding like you are doing. PBK has them for 83 bucks too.
