Seriously, why not build a wheelset that lasts? Go for 32 or 36 three cross front and back.
i ride rolf prima vigors on street pretty frequently--jumping curbs, hitting potholes, etc.
they hold up just fine. i'm not sure what the spoke count is off-hand, but it's pretty damn low.
