Try turning a little sideways in the lane before you stop (just do a little 's' move). It worked for me before they adjusted my problem light. Your side profile is closer to the size of the front end of a car which is what the motion detector is looking for.
Thanks for the tip, but for the record, I am (without the bike) wider from the front than from the side.
