[QUOTE=USAZorro]I've got a 1985 Trek 520 that I'm rehabbing to sell, but it's 19" c-t (a pinch over 48cm).
If you're handy with the mechanicals, you could always find a couple bikes, fix them up, sell them, and use the proceeds to get a decent bike for yourself. All I can say is, keep checking yard sales and Craigslist. Eventually you'll find something that suits you.[/QUOTE
No problem on the mechanical. Actually My everyday commute bike is a Surley cross check That I built from scratch I like it plenty but am Overly fond of the Boom years Japanese tour frames as they are so much nicer .
the reason I bought the cross check frame is I couldnt find an older tour frame when I wanted a commuter and My falcon road frame (now a SS) was not going to work.
if I find a older tour frame the cross check will get stripped and either sold or made into a ??
