IMO, Chorus is somewhere between Ultegra and DA, exactly where the new group will be.

Shimano, unlike Campy, revamps their groups one at a time. The new group sounds like step one. Step two would be to bring DA up to Record level the year after the new group is introduced. That will be about the correct time for a revamp anyhow. DA 10 sp has been with us for almost 4 years.

Even though I prefer Campy, Shimano beats Campy in it's marketing. No one markets bike parts better than Shimano.
