Well why live there? If you decide to live somewhere that has no public transport and think that your choice to live there is more important than carbon emissions then say it, don't blame it on the geography! If you're a farmer or something and you really need to live there, then that's cool.

If you come back with a "well I shouldn't have to move from my town just to save the planet..." well what are you prepared to do? People just expect that the solutions to all this to be handed to them. We all have to make some kind of an effort.

I live in London, UK and we have a cojestion charge: $16 to drive in to the city each day. That and the high price of petrol and parking mean that it is actually far cheaper and more convenient to go everywhere by taxi (unless you drive 60 miles a day or somthing), but stupid f***ing car drivers still insist on having their own bike-rider asasination tool.

But then again, if the streets weren't always full of idiots in cars, then it wouldn't be half as fun to ride inbetween them. Also, putting these idiots on bikes wouldn't stop them being idiots and they would still end up being a danger to non-idiot cyclists.

hmmm...anger...vented...enough?
