It doesn't really matter if the average omnivorous cyclist only gets the equivalent of ~100mpg. Which is about the same mileage they would get if they strapped a small four stroke motor on the back of their bike with an increase of ~5-10mph. Or what a 3L Lupo with four people in it gets at ~50mph.

Nvm an actual analysis of the energy required to produce the goods and energy a city slicker has to consume... That don't matter. Even if living in the country with half a brain would allow for a much lower cost of living, much easier (or possible) energy independence, and lotsa landz.
