Aim for one of these, it will break your fall.


Oh and btw, if you unclip, grab the brakes as you do it, and unclip the trailing foot first, with your other foot on the forward position in the pedal stroke. Otherwise, if the foot that's still clipped in is in the backwards position, it'll just freewheel with your weight on it and you'll slam your family jewels on the top tube.

Which is kind of the opposite of a track bike, where I like to have my unclipped foot on the back (keeping me from rolling forward).
