Yes the purple has a metallic finish, looks really cool in the sunlight-----the parts on the bike were my own stash that was sitting around and others were purchase on ebay or retail----yes i did put alot of money into it and will never recoup it back but it is mine--the frame i got on ebay for only 500 dollars which was a bargain.--jc
