Again, thanks for the feed back! I am convinced that red is THE color for the HB wrap, and I guess I need to start looking for proper barcons and brake hoods! I actually have a set of Suntour 5 speed Ratchet/Index Barcons now! Would they be "wrong" for this bike??? Would the index function even work with the components on this bike?

It was such a pretty day here in East Tennessee that I decide to take a short ride on the Paramount! It was different for me as my main ride now is a RANS Stratus, I have spinal stenosis, and riding drop bars is not compfortable for me! A few miles is about all I want to do on this style bike! With a 24 inch frame the standover highth is somewhat tight, but I have the saddle highth correct, and I am working on the HB adjustment and the for/aft adjustmen on the seat. I really do intend to ride this bike some and hope to work up to 10-20 miles, IF my back allows it. I currently ride my recumbent 40-50 miles so I am thinking positive!

If anybody on the forum has Brake hoods or Barcons, for this vintage bike, that they are willing to sale I am interested!
