Ride AND flat resistance: Schwalbe Stelvio Plus. Serious grip even in the rain. 2 flats in 12 months. This is hands down my favorite tire, but it costs too much, and can't handle skidding at all.
Skid: I don't really know, my love of the afore mentioned tire made me change my riding habits.
yess... schwalbe's do feel the nicest on the road. i wish they were more durable
if i had a road bike or a braked fix, i'd definitely run nothing but those...
