I'm in this same predicament right now, except I check my bolts every day. I have one of 5 bolts that I can easily spin with my finger, although it's tight enough that I can't wiggle the chainring at all. I used a communal tool for the nut side of the bolt and it seems that I stripped the bolt, as the tool doesn't look to be in good shape. So it's tight enough, but not tight enough. Got some new bolts, I may need a dremel to get the last bolt out, but I hope it doesn't come to that.
