Provincials TT I did 53:45 over 38.5 km and came 5th in Cat 4. But the results in the lower cats can be skewed due to the participation of elite triathletes (who are often in cat 4/5 on the road). In a flat 40k, if you can hold around 42 km/h, you should do well as a Cat 4.
