i think it's photoshopped. I doubt this can happen unless the guy was on a trainer and paddeled reallllly fast and then he put his finger in the rotor.
i am of the school of thought that the slower moving parts are moving means the worse the damage inflicted... and you get to think about it and/or see it while it's happening... coming from personal experience...
and thinking back to when i was a kid, the worst skateboard accidents always happend when you were crawling along at the speed of snail.
hope he kept the fingertip for replacement.
