I just received the Acorn bag today. It's very nicely made indeed.
One thing is that the fabric is a very nice thick soft cotton, but it is _not_ waxed, so it is not going to be waterproof. Not sure if the Carradice bags are waxed. My Frost River bag was, though. This bag did come with a rain cover though.
