Another fixie newb experience by Tequila Joe.
I finally learned how to skid and was practicing it all the way into the office today.
The last one I did was a little embarrassing. I laid into a nice long skid just as pulled up beside a car at an intersection. I looked into the window as I slid by and I noticed that the driver was a gorgeously cute girl. At that point, I must’ve lost all concentration because I lost my skid, the rear wheel caught and was launched up into the air pulling bike along with me. I unclipped on my way down to avoid going over the bars and biting the pavement. I almost sacked myself during the recovery.
I couldn’t bring myself look into the car to see if she had noticed or had any kind of reaction to my stunt.
