how exactly does this clean up the sport? this is a targeted campaign aimed at attacking cycling from the top down. if they can prove armstrong doped at any cost, they have essentially thrown the last 7-10 years of popular professional cycling down the drain, along with all of the popularity it has gained here in the US.

why not deal with puerto, and the fact that, oh... about 100 riders are out there competing, even though they are implicated in very real ways.
....and why would landis hide behind a gag order? because it is the only protection that he has right now. it is obvious that there are forces against him that will do whatever it takes, they have all the government funding they need to make him guilty whether he is or not, and in two weeks, that is most likely what will happen. he is using the time that he has now to make his case publicly in order to draw attention to what is actually going on. don't worry, they still get their message out... by releasing test results to the media before the athelete sees or hears about them. yep. real fair.
