Every advantage of the Campy set-up trumps any advantage of the Shimano imo, especially the increased simplicity (less moving parts lets not get into SRAMs), rebuildability, looks, trim levels, etc., but the Shimano brifters have always welcomed my hands a little more, so I'll would tell you stick to the ones that are most comfy for you hands.
The Campy thumb button, (I've never ridden it extensively, just tooled around with it), is closer and it more thumb shaped so it is softer (compared to Sora), but the brake lever blades are odd to me and the hoods are not curved enough and the tip is too pointy.
Also, I would have stepped over to Campy if I could afford it, because I wouldn't mind conforming myself to the lever shapes just for the advantages. Oddly enough, I would prefer to have the brake lever blade to also act as the shifting pawl (I have long, fat fingers that mash things

) and the Campy thumb shifter, but I guess it would be too much to ask for a Shimagnolo Dura-Record.
